Summer of Fun
Or not....
Yesterday I recieved an email from Natasha at River Island offering me the chance to do some more work for them, a kind of street style grazia-esque blog. I just have to take 5 photos a month of people around Epsom and in return I get a £20 gift voucher each time. Not alot, but something to do that will not take up alot of my time and with the possibility of swaping the vouchers for money with sequinned covered delusionals aka the sister.
I have also landed a new job thanks to Chris, at the Boogie Lounge............yes, my least fav place in the world! ha
Having said that, the place has changed loads, for the better, and is continuing to do so. I dont think I have met people nicer than the new management, who are actually on students side for once, rather than out to rape our limited bank accounts. I am going to be working behind the bar and promoting the student night along with Chris and Daisy. This is the kind of work I love doing, dead sociable and always a laugh. Already had one meeting, which got some good ideas going (glow-in-the-dark I love Mondays condoms anyone?). See if it all works come September though.
For the meantime though, my life is on hold as I sell myself to the coporate giant... slash JTL. I am completley fed up of spending my days reading what other people are doing with their time and am determined to find a way to turn this experience into some kind of creative outcome. So today I have just started a kind of office sketchbook, mainly a way to note the odd behaviour of the environment. Any ideas of what to do with this would be greatly appreciated! Although at the mo im thinking some kind of fanzine.
